The following CMPs are used for all human subject research projects at the University of Pittsburgh requiring COI management.
The COI Office, in collaboration with the COI Committee (COIC), department chairpersons or equivalent supervisors, and the Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) determine the appropriate CMP for a given project.

Final language contained in a CMP for a specific project may differ from the examples above due to regulatory requirements or University policy obligations. Additional terms may be added at the discretion of the COI Committee and/or a department chairperson. Final copies of human subject research CMPs are prepared by the COI Office and distributed via DocuSign directly to conflicted investigators for review and signature.
