Origins of the Policy
The goal of the Industry Relationships Policy is to improve oversight of relationships between healthcare product manufacturers and healthcare practitioners at UPMC and faculty, staff, and students in the University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences.
Statement of Purpose
As world leaders in research and clinical care delivery, the University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences and UPMC have a responsibility to conduct all of their activities in a manner that serves the public interest.
